Oxagon
campus competition
The campus ran to more than a kilometre and held co-working, apartments, cafeterias, amphitheatres, laboratories and industrial floors. At competition stage the interiors did not exist as drawings, and each space still had to read as a convincing version of itself inside the architecture. Kiln was in the design process early, testing options and directing the character of every space type across the campus.

Outcome
The competition was won and the work ran for three years, from an invited competition through to a costed concept design. Kiln pushed hardest for focused, narrative-led views rather than single images trying to hold everything, and those views proved more reusable on later bids, because isolated from the whole they were harder to tie to the project and could sit outside the NDA. The wider programme was later paused and the campus did not proceed.
