The house was a long way through construction, roofed but never made weathertight, and there it stopped for ten years. Every drawing of the site showed one home, and the question had always been how to finish that one. Kiln proposed testing what else the structure could hold, and what came back was two households in place of one, drawn as a horizontal split and as a vertical one.

Outcome
With a local engineer's review of the split in hand, the marketing document put a house that had stood unfinished for ten years in front of an agent, and it drew an offer. The owner is holding out for a better one while the search for the funding to finish the house goes on.
